Donna Italia Appointed Vice President of Transitions at Concord Hospitality
New role emphasizes the hospitality company’s focus on expansion
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 1, 2019) – Award-winning hotel management and development company, Concord Hospitality Enterprises, is pleased to announce that Donna Italia has been promoted to Vice President of Transitions. In this newly created role, Italia will focus on managing the process of properties transitioning into and out of the hospitality company’s management portfolio, as well as providing support for new hotel openings. The position will play an integral role in Concord’s effort to add more properties and expand its scope across North America.

With over 30 years of experience, Italia is a veteran of the hospitality industry. Known for her strong leadership, meticulous management style and her ability to drive top- and bottom-line revenue, she has been recognized on numerous occasions for her work. At Marriott International, where Italia spent much of her career, she received many awards, one of which was the prestigious General Manager of the Year Award for Full-Service Hotels. In 2010, Italia joined Concord Hospitality as the General Manager of the Clinton Inn Hotel, Concord’s only independently run property. During her tenure, Italia received Concord’s Cornerstone Award four times. In 2015, Italia became the General Manager of the Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel and took on the new role of Area General Manager, in which she was responsible for the oversight of four additional Concord properties. In this new role, Italia facilitated the transition of the Courtyard Edison to a Concord property, which demonstrated her ability to guarantee a smooth transition.
