Concord Hospitality Named Best Workplace for Women by Fortune 100

Raleigh-based hospitality company receives second national accolade in two months

Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company (Concord Hospitality) is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women. This list is based on employee surveys and highlights companies where women have high representation in the total associate population and in management positions.

In late 2015, Concord Hospitality was named a Great Place to Work® and was recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Millennials earlier this year. Concord Hospitality is one of just five hospitality companies to receive this year’s designation, and it is the only independent hotel developer and operator to do so. Other hospitality companies recognized include Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Worldwide and Marriott International.

Fortune’s rankings for the 100 Best Workplaces for Women are based on anonymous feedback from more than 137,762 women at Great Place to Work­Certified companies. Employees considered how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace, including how fairly they are treated regardless of gender, the quality and authenticity of communications with managers and equitable pay and promotion practices. Responses resulted in a total score for each company, which was compared to the benchmark for organizations of that size and ranked accordingly.
