Concord Hospitality Celebrates a Return to In-Person Share Day in a Big Way
Associates donate nearly 6,000 hours of service to local communities during 14th annual day of giving
For the 14th year in a row, Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company employees – from front desk staff to the executive team – joined together for a day of giving known as Share Day. This year’s event marks a return to in-person, regional events following smaller, local and virtual events held in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. More than 140 Concord Hospitality hotels across North America participated in charitable activities on Nov. 10, donating nearly 6,000 volunteer hours on this day alone.
Concord Hospitality partnered with Feed the Children to provide food and other essential items to those in need in the communities where Concord associates live and work. This year, the largest Share Day events took place in 11 markets – the greatest number of regional events to take place since the inaugural Share Day – including Beaufort, NC; Chicago, IL; Dayton, OH; Houston, TX; East Rutherford, NJ; La Vergne, TN; Orlando, FL; Pittsburgh, PA; Raleigh, NC; Toronto, Canada; and Washington, DC. Concord properties located outside of these markets also volunteered locally with organizations including Adopt-a-Highway, Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald House, local food banks and shelters, and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), among others.

By working together, we can provide kids comfort and joy in the face of real-world challenges this holiday season.”
Since starting Share Day in 2009, Concord Hospitality associates have raised more than $1.2 million, donated nearly 50,000 hours of service, distributed 3.5 million meals and refurbished 40 homes. The annual event aligns with Concord’s commitment of not only providing hotel management and development expertise, but also making it possible for associates to partake in a rich and vibrant culture established and propelled by its five cornerstones: quality, integrity, community, profitability and fun.
